At the Rochester 2019 Makerfaire, I was awarded a grant to build a life-sized R2-D2 robot from the StarWars movies to visit kids in schools and hospitals in the region. I spent the end of middleschool and the beginning of highschool building the robot from sheet metal, 3D printed plastic, and electronics. See the photos and videos below:
