During the summer of 2023, I worked as a hardware intern with Apricity Solutions during their residency at the REV Ithaca Hardware Accelerator program. Our task was to develop a highly energy-efficient and cost-effective powered baby blanket designed to reduce neonatal hypothermia in rural Kenya. I contributed by developing fabric patterns, researching and implementing heat sources, creating 3D-printed electronics enclosures, and developing insulating material stacks integrated with rechargeable Phase Change Material (PCM) heat sources.
