During the summer of 2023, I worked as a hardware intern with Apricity Solutions during their time at REV Ithaca's Hardware Accelerator program. Our task was to develop a highly energy efficient and cost effective powered baby blanket, with the goal of reducing neonatal hypothermia in rural Kenya. I contributed by developing patterns for fabric, researching and implementing heat sources, creating 3D printed electronics enclosures, and developing insulating material stacks with rechargable Phase Changing Material heatsources.
